You shriek, I shriek, we all shriek for ice cream.
If adult human beings cannot view tweets from total strangers without becoming emotionally unstable then I suggest they disable their twitter accounts. If you're bothered by GB News and it's presenters then don't watch it, I don't.
I'll elaborate on my previous post for you. We don't live in an age of facts, or logic or reason any more. We live in an age of rhetoric. This is how Brexit was "won". Not on facts, or logic, or reason but on rhetoric.
This is why you can pull up all the stats and charts you like about any issue at all and it just gets dismissed regardless of what side of an argument you are on. I've seen all the stats around abortion in the UK and they're not really an issue at all and most of the points of argument are utterly redundant. Virtually nobody is having late term abortions and virtually nobody is having an abortion because of assault or any other reason that often gets cited by whataboutists.
Bemoaning the tweets of some C list journalist is like howling at the moon. This is the state of the world today. All the facts in all the world won't win an argument. Only a call to pure emotion.
I don’t watch GB News. It was simply a post from 2 weeks ago in response to someone else about a grifting tweet, giving my opinion about it being disingenuous.
In terms of the abortion question, I generally agree with you, we don’t currently have a huge problem in this country, and many of the difficult questions are around rare, fringe cases (but they do still happen).
However the point there, is that she’s pushing to start a conversation on changing the law, off the back of the Texas ruling, which could then turn, what is, by your own admission, currently not an issue, into an issue.
