Neil isn't apparently coming back as scheduled, and they've hired the truly loathsome Isabel Oakeshott. An indicator:
She's an absolute ming, her. Should be a pariah after her treatment of Vicky Pryce.

He's made a complete fool of himself and destroyed his credibility with this whole pantomime. He made such a drama about leaving the BBC (practically weeping on tv) only to join the laughable gang of clowns on a startup channel that everyone with half a brain knew going to be a total disaster from day one. At best he's shown himself up to being incredibly naive to the point of being stupid, and at worst he's given himself away as the closest racist many accused him of always being that simply got cold feet when he finally realised that the company he was keeping wasn't the best........Andrew Neil has finally quit
But progressive types do shriek. They're shrieking right now about having the right to abort a baby in a completely different state to the one they're living in.Despicable human being, she is. That tweet is the definition of a grifting tweet designed to wind people up on the day that she’s joined GB News to generate coverage.
To bemoan the inability to discuss the subject without the “usual shrieking”, while in the same tweet describing our current law as “abhorrent”, and women as getting abortions “far too casually” is extremely disingenuous and calculated.
She’s a writer. She knows exactly what she’s doing here.
Does anyone who has been at the BBC as long as he has have any credibility? After all that has been revealed about Jimmy Saville and the other high profile nonces that were harboured there. He's made a complete fool of himself and destroyed his credibility with this whole pantomime. You shriek, I shriek, we all shriek for ice cream. You’ve worked hard to miss the point there.
Her tweet was bemoaning certain people ‘shrieking’, while at the same time using charged and judgemental language on an extremely emotive subject. It’s trolling and disingenuous in the extreme, and given it was tweeted on the same day her move to GB News was announced, was likely done just to generate outrage.
Re the bold - It is perfectly reasonable to raise objections about a policy, even when that policy doesn’t directly affect you. Having a degree of empathy for others is not unheard of.
I also don’t think ‘shrieking’ about an issue is limited to progressives!
