Ron has said he could see Ross as a DM.

As I said all positions especially those in the centre require intelligence. Whether Ross has that or not he has other advantages. His passing is fantastic and he doesn't give the ball away cheaply even if that's what people have a go at him for (apart from Sunderland).


Doesn't give the ball away cheaply? Didn't see the Sunderland game? Or the Bournemouth one that's on now?
 

Not sure CF is the same sort of player defensively as GB. The latter hunts and breaks down opposition attacks where possible, and as we know is not averse to a card or two to achieve that. I'm not sure CF has that in his locker.
His passing ability isn't questioned.
Depends if Koeman would be looking for a 'like for like' player, or looking to play a different formation to the one he plays now.
He will be playing the current formation because it plays to our current strengths.
