I'm sorry but he is the main reason why we aren't performing anymore.

The minute he is in the team we are terrible, take him out of it and we look half decent. Did he start vs Southampton? Leiscter the other week? Arsenal? Our best performances come from him not playing. Everything isn't perfect and the team have struggled without him also but then that is down to other players. Going back to the derby, we suddenly looked awful the minute he had to come on.

The fact that all our recent wins had him on the bench and all our terrible results bar Watford had him in the team.

He started against Leicester on Boxing Day mate and was replaced by Davies with 20 minutes to go when we were one up and needed some fresh legs

Pesky things these facts aren't they ?

Edit :I see you've already been corrected on this !

but we improved after he went off.

that is my point, every single game recently where the team looked poor completely involved barry in a significant way. every game we looked good and/or won, barry was on the bench. Only watford was the odd one out as we had no barry plus got beat.

but generally barry is the sum of what is wrong with the team, the fact we can go from half decent to terrible as soon as he comes on is magic in all honesty. I mean the fact it has a ripple effect to everyone else and we just resort to hoofing it up the pitch?

You didn't know he started against Leicester.
We were one up when he went off.

Frankly my dear, your lack of appreciation of the facts makes me wonder if you just type stuff without engaging brain and fingers.

However, you do have a point in that he doesn't suit the style that the manager wants to play, which just proves the old adage about broken clocks being right twice a day.

When Morgan signs, or if McCarthy is fit, Barry will likely be sat on the bench ready to come on if we need to see out a lead.

We were one up sure, but also were playing very bad at the time as well. the fact we scored is neither here nor there when the performance was terrible. We kicked on and sorted the game out once he was off. So i still have a valid point ;)

and perhaps it is less barry being suited for Koeman's team, and perhaps a little more that a 36 year old midfielder with 20 year experience in the top flight, might just be at the end of his career?

Given you didn't even know Barry was on the pitch for ~ seventy minutes I suspect you didn't actually watch the game and you're just regurgitating things others have written.

Barry's a smart footballer, but dynamic he has never been. Koeman wants his midfield to run all day, that's not Barry's thing.

However, Barry does know how to change a toilet seat.

WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW Woolly really has fell from grace.
From handing out perma-bans to throwing grenades. He is finally one of us.

Welcome to hell woolly.

I never said he didn't play in that game, i said we played well and won without him. Considering without him on the pitch we suddenly got better, and finished the game much better than before, my point still stands.

Plus i did see the game ;) it was a bit crap for the most part but we looked half decent when barry wasn't n the pitch,

You are being pedantic here, you agree with my point but disagree with me over something small?

You little liar !

This is why no-one takes your opinions seriously lad. You say something, someone points out that you're wrong, and then you deny saying it.

I bid you farewell for the day.
I asked if he did according to that quote.

So you contradict yourself, the line reads did he? not He didn't

so yeah, i didn't say he never played, as my point the whole time was that we got better without him on the pitch, hence the crap first half in the game in question.

Woolly is flapping it here...

Loved Gareth when he was at City, thought we let him go at least 2 years too early and I feel City have never really found his replacement. He's the kind of player you only appreciate when he's wearing your shirt, Liverpool fans might be saying the same with regards to James Milner. I think David Silva saying Barry is one of the best players he has ever played with, is a testament to his quality. Reading the thoughts of the Everton fans, it sounds as though his days are numbered, but I think you've had 3 to 4 good years service from him. Good luck, see you Sunday.
