I read an article this morning saying the "only" thing standing in the way of us signing Bale was his £650k a week wages. so I f we can offload 16 players in the summer, we might have a chance of bringing him in, but he would be the only player we sign. And we need 5 or 6
I cant see this ever happening. I think he will stay at Madrid till his contract ends and then go to the MLS.

And we end up with one outfield p[layer and a GK, great idea.

Bale will be playing a lot of golf and very little football if he thinks any club is going to match that level of wage.

I expect that Madrid would give him a substantial lump sum just to leave and that would allow him to negotiate his own deal with some other club.
I don't believe we have even thought of him, but then who would ever have thought CA would manage Everton.

I think just about every player in the world would look at us now simply because we have a manager that is regarded amongst the very best.
Whither Everton have the budget, pulling power or ambition to chase top quality, very expensive players is another matter.
