Dillane actaully played merlin in the clive owen Arthurian film, don't know about the gere one, was a shame that was tosh as connery was born to play king arthur, I'd be interested to know what you don't like about book stannis, I really liked his arc.
Nothing wrong with being in the minority, though as an aside, the fat lid who plays sam says he proudest scene was to act opposite dillane, calling it a privilege and education, it's a shame at least one of Dance, Dillane, Mcshane or Bean isn't still about, seems to have stolen the gravitas a bit, though the lad playing beric is great, and hopefully the fella playing benjen gets some more screentime
