I like how its harking back to the good old days of Telly when if you missed it.. you missed it. End Of.

I reckon if you don't want to be spoiled you should either watch it or stay out of the thread maybe.

But I like this thread. I like talking about Game of Thrones, I do not like spoilers. I should be able to discuss it without someone posting in this thread with "So such a person dies soon." Or something.

This is my favourite thread. :(

Not wanting to steal a thread here but to the uninitiated is this Game of Thrones any good?!

Is there another TV show you can compare it to?

(Thanks)

Think I have posted here more than any other thread! #feelingguilty

My mates were on at me for a year before I caved in - its definitely worth a watch. Some people say its a cross between LOTR and p*rn. Others Sopranos in medieval times. I would argue its not really like LOTR - its got some "fantasy" elements , but its more about family rivalries (with a splatter of zombies!)

The problem is, its not like your normal TV show, not many others are based on books that have been so widely read.

I dont think anyway?

I read a lot of Wiki when im bored, sadly I didnt stop at the right times and ive read far more into the future than I should have, the future doesnt really impress me, it doesnt go in the direction I wanted, which saddens me a little, but im sure it will be wondefully presented.

I hated LOTR, I turned it off after 10minutes and havent bothered with any of them since.

Not enough tits then?

Seriously though, read the books.

Read anything else similar to Thrones?, need Ideas to fill the gap until Winds of Winter
Joe Abercrobie's First Law Trilogy (Logen Ninefingers)
Patrick Rothfuss Kingkiller Chronicles (Starts with "Name of the Wind", 2 books as part of a trilogy are out so far, very readable)
Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Series, and "The Way of Kings", first chronicle of the Stormlight Archives
