This x 20 ! Fat man gave the writers his blessings so he is a bullshitter as well! Its the way it was done with the lazy dirty trick of inventing the scene where he tells her he loves her and what he did for her as a set up for this!!! Disgraceful from the ' Brotherhood without brains 'show runners who've been found out as a pair of bluff merchants chasing ratings at the expense of one of the main characters in the whole story. The books are not the TV show. They are two distinct things. The story was always going to be different in some ways as you can't just directly translate literature into the medium of tv and have something which is a good watch.

I'm not bothered that it deviates from the books as I know they're two different mediums. Some of the changes are so out of character though like what happened with shireen. Changes like arya following Trant, Ramsay raping Sansa, or Sam getting in a fight with the other nights watch all were decent because it fits how those characters would act (even based on their portyral in the show).
