He's literally my fav character in any show or film or book of all time, such an absolute G

Finally a good episode this season

Still think they should kill off sansa, dragon lady, maybe the kid with the faceless people. NEA

Anyone else think they're laying it on a bit thick with regard to Ollie, the young lad in the Night's Watch? I get the very distinct impression that he's going to do something very, very horrid very soon.

Agree with all of that. Probably the first time they've deviated from the source material WITHOUT going horrifically wrong.

Although...
Danaerys' decision to retain Tyrion as an advisor made no sense. He confirmed that he is on good terms with Varys and trusts him - the same Varys for whom Jorah was spying on her. He made it abundantly clear that he did not give a toss whether she accepted him or executed him - isn't this the sort of "ally" who will happily sell you out if it suits him at some later stage? He's not afraid of her or any possible sanction she could use against him... interesting that the first thing he advised her to do was sent Jorah away, despite correctly identifying that Jorah is now totally devoted and loyal to her. Taking a Lannister on as an advisor, one who is on good terms with the chap who used to run Jorah as a spy against her, the same Jorah she has now banished TWICE for the same spying, just didn't ring true to me.

Yeah, didn't seem particularly organic to me, thought Tyrion would have to jump through a few hoops before Danaerys would take him in.Two conversations and bang. It doesn't help that she has zero charisma and he has all of it, there was a real imbalance in their scenes. Otherwise, a cracking episode, that scene at Hardhome was unreal.

Starting to wish they'd kill off Daenerys now. The writers have killed her spark, really disliking her as a character lately

Defo, which makes no sense.

Definitely makes sense. It's a good way to portray how deep the rot has gotten with regards to Jon's relationship with the NW. He completely radicalized their approach to Wildlings and alienated more than half of the men. It wouldn't have the same impact if Thorne or someone did the deed, we know he hates him.
