In fact she doesnt kill the hound she kills an imposter that has a run in with a certain lady coldheart which is a well known character if you have read the books. Lady coldheart / well known character then has her killed.

Completely disagree. One thing to learn, unless you 'see' them actually dead, then dont assume they are. GRRM has left Brienne's story........ hanging....... (pun intended). As she sees Podrick choking she chooses sword, but it isn't known if the hanging was completed.

The TL;DR version, we don't actually know if she survives, or is in fact dead

WIKIPEDIA tells me that you are in fact correct as she does appear in Dance with Dragons after the part before.
