Game Of Thrones: Season 8

The show has at least done a good job of making me want to go and read the books instead. Hopefully the final 2 make an absolute mockery of it.
I too fancy reading the books but fear that I 'll be starting something without an end.

Bar the obvious plot holes left over from previous episodes, I actually thought that was the tightest episode.

At least the stuff made sense, generally, and we saw just how evil and twisted Dani has become with power (which is the whole point of the show and always has been, though the WW threat was meant to be the thing that ultimately proved all that pointless).

But yeh, enjoyed it. Maybe because I was so let down last week, but at least this made sense.

This for me. It's been a poor season and this is the best episode imo. The special affects were good. The story was butchered ages ago so I wasn't too disappointed with it. 7/10

Actually disagree with that.

Araya provided the ground level perspective of what was happening with innocents dying.

There really wasn't anyone else who could offer that.

They had Jon Snow there for that too though. His insignificant attempts on the ground at least were a continuation from episode 3 as he was useless there too. They promoted Arya to one of the main characters in ep3 , and then shoved her back to being less effective than she would have been in season 1 as a petulant child.

Her character was pointless last episode, and I don't think the Arya we have watched for 8 seasons would accept the Hound telling her to go back when she had Cersei in the same City.

Thats the dude who plays Ser Barristan Selmy, the one who argued with D&D hard about killing off the character.

That's not some wild fan theory, that is a guy who loves the books and knows GRRM.

Read that the other day, would make sense that he has agreed to hold back the books until its finished on TV.

Explosive dragon fire. Only burns people, but instantly explodes walls and wood. Oh and also has limitless fire capability.

A lazy writer and cinematographer's dream.

Remember at the battle of winterfell when Jon hid behind a rock that was heavily resistant to blue fire from an ice dragon? That rock must have been made of some alien material that’s for sure.
