Game Of Thrones: Season 8

I really dislike the “2012” formula in these episodes as well. “Oh, we just barely escaped death. Oh, we just barely escaped death again. We can’t barely escape death one more time can we? Yes we can!”

It’s a cheap way to create tension. Lazy lazy lazy. Probably my biggest grievance with the show the past two seasons. Jaime was guilty of that last season whilst defending the Tarly’s.

Tbf, who actually escaped death this time other than Arya? And it's not like she came out of it unscathed. The rest are... well... dead.
 
Not sure if you guys like to do spoilers in here so I'll cover the below up

I believe lots of people got annoyed because they took a character everyone liked and did a sudden personality shift that not everyone is on board with?

That kind of sounds like a twist for twists sake for me. How did it go over with people in here?

I think at this point if you havent watched it, you really shouldnt be reading the Game of Thrones season 8 thread.

I mean no spoilers on the day it airs in the US and the UK, does it air on Mondays in the UK?

But anyway, if you havent watched it after 2 days, you might wanna swerve the thread.

Thats just my take on spoilers anyway, basically after 2 days I aint gonna post anything in the spoiler tag.
 
But regards your post Mikey, theres just so much wrong with everything I wouldnt even know where to begin.

Im actually enjoying it all, its great entertainment, but its nothing like the show I fell in love with, its just a Hollywood cliche ridden cesspit, with big bangs for my simple mind to enjoy.

I'll probs watch it someday, just interested in what the fans think

I can't wait till I watch it in something like ten years and go through the same journey ;)
