I know there have been hundreds of Youth internationals who don't make it beyond the Championship, or even lower, but I think it's a crime if we don't integrate this group - plus Vlasic - and alongside Pickford - as a core of our Squad for the next 10 years
I also know its unrealistic for a squad to remain together for so long, but that can be a unique nature of our team

I would look comfortable versus Romanian farmers.
In fairness they were quite decent. Young Hagi looks like a throwback to his dad. They were unbeaten in over 12 months and currently top a qualifying group that includes Portugal and Switzerland, two consistent performers at this level.

Our lads did look comfortable at this level, and that is because in their own age group their talent is very noticeable. Both Lookman and Dowell in particular showed glimpses of brilliance in their build up play that should have resulted in more goals.

Are either of them ready for regular starts in the premier?, probably not. But both, together with Vlasic, are capable of unlocking stubborn defences, and next season I would certainly have one of them starting in games where we expect to control possession and at least one more on the bench.

I put DCL not because I rate him particularly but he's already in the England coaching scene with his international appearances so far.
The face fits.

He's our own Danny Welbeck.

God knows how many caps he has.

Interesting comparison...the difference is that Welbeck doesn't seem to get into goalscoring positions whereas DCL does.

Welbeck is now 27 and has a 1 in 5 strike rate. Interestingly (and I was amazed at this) he has 15 goals in 37 games for England :o

Personally I think that if DCL can improve his strike rate to 1 in 3 next season then we'll start seeing a top player emerge...

He’s got a 1-in-3 in all comps this season.

It was a bit tongue and cheek Zat as I know how highly rated Welbeck is on here.

But there are similarities. Both have decent pace, work hard, get played out if position a lot, and are a bit hit and miss in front of goal.

Difference is DCL is still 21 and developing. Just hope he doesnt get the same injuries that hampered Welbecks development.
