From an Everton supporters point of view....

Would you celebrate Everton winning the Europa Conference League?

When you can honestly say you'd rather have a win in the PL it underlines the value of that trophy last night.

Any fan who wouldn't celebrate their team winning a European trophy is basically following the wrong sport?
They are basically falling into the Kenwright trap. If most trophies are not worth winning, then why would there be any consequence for Everton winning nothing?

The more we can talk down the League Cup, Europa Conference, Europa League and FA Cup as worthless trinkets, the longer the most unsuccessful chairman in this history of Everton Football Club can remain beyond accountability.

The very fact that David Moyes had his greatest moment as a manager last night tells you that this trophy was worth more than any of his hard-fought, crucial 1-0 home Premier League wins against Fulham on the road to an 8th place finish.

I'd be made up if we ever won this competition. Last years final saw Roma (and look at what it meant to Mourinho!) win it's first ever official European trophy (though they had been runners up in both the European and UEFA cups), against Feyenoord who've won one European cup and two UEFA cups and this years final featured two clubs who've both won a ECWC in their history so it's not as the clubs who are going deep in this competition don't have at least some kind of European pedigree. Obviously the champions league is where everybody aspires to be but as a fan, it's format quite frankly bores the arse off me, seeing the same old teams in it pretty much every year. I grew up in an era were clubs like Malmo, Club Brugge, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Dundee United and Aberdeen could reach and even win European finals, to me this new competition seems to be a bit of a throwback to those days. I just wish UEFA had a bit more belief in it's appeal by picking venues for the final that can actually fit all the people in who'd want to go and watch it, both this years and last years final could have had 60-70,000 fans watching, instead they've picked two stadiums that barely hold 20,000.

I have gone nearly 30 years without a trophy - one I can remember on my lifetime. I would be missing in Prague right now covered in cocaine and singing ZCARS so out of tune that I wouldn't know what I was singing and in someone’s ket den. So yeah I would. It’s a trophy you have to qualify for and with a respectable league position and beat a number of teams. Also let’s remember that we’ve been knocked out of competitions by the likes of Shrewsbury/Tranmere/Port Vale/ Liverpools under 2s/ reading / Millwall x 2/ Bradford/Birmingham

So yeah I would celebrate it
Couldn't have summed it up better myself!

No problem with West Ham celebrating winning a European trophy. I would love to be in their position now. But the Cup Winners Cup in the 80s was a far more important tournament than the Conference, ranking above the UEFA Cup in terms of qualification.
But by that argument every trophy has been devalued?
Champions league was just champions when it was the European Cup. I doubt Real Madrid valued last seasons any less than a win in the 50s.
