Just read that these guys are all out of contract in 2014 an could all do a decent job for us squad wise at least.

Yeah, but he would be a good player as our 3rd CB. Especially if we get here European football, we need a bigger squad, 2 good players for every position.

Yeah, but Distin isn't getting any younger, we have never seen play Alcaraz for this club and Stones could benefit from a one year loan to play more PL football and improve himself. We could definitely has him in our squad if wages would be right, I believe.

I'd rather not mate, im guessing for this year he is fine with what hes got and next will be distin on a one year deal as backup, jags starting, alcarez backup, stones maybe featuring more in a rb/cb games like hes done with delfou this, which leaves a starting caliber cb to pair with jags, and kabouls not good enough

Well, I would take Kaboul as Heitinga replacement, if Martinez thinks Distin is good enough to play as our starting CB for one more season. I would play him happily one more year. If Martinez thinks we need a new starting CB next to Jags, we have to sign Lescott who will be a free agent after this season.

I think alcarez was brought in as heitengas replacement though mate, and pretty sure we wont sign lescott, can see martinez going for someone mid 20's who will be around for the long term

I thought Alcaraz was brought in as 4th CB, that extra player we need to make numbers, then only Stones replaced Heitinga as our 3rd CB as we weren't able to sell him. I think Martinez wanted Martins Indi if we would be able to sell Heitinga as his replacement. Lescott would seriously be a good option for us, especially as we need to spend money way more importantly on a top striker and a really good left winger. Lescott can still play for 3+ seasons, and as Barry's example is showing, Martinez likes older players too. And we probably won't have money to buy a really good centre back like Rakitsky or Martins Indi. Maybe Vermaelen could be a good option.

Moyes was never a fan of it as i believe it just didnt suit his overly meticulous cautious approach, as free agents tend to be in demand and you have to go all out for them, something moyes preferred not to do apparently

De Bruyne shoudl be the winger we go for mate, top quality and the list of clubs he apparently is considering isnt gonna be hard to compete with, their at best our level if not below in the budesliga

Vermelen i like and he is a good ball playing cb, how olds he now though, mid twenties or older?
