I like luxury players, mainly because I play like one for my social winter team. The Berbatov's, Cantona's, Lampard's, Le Tissier's of this world have always been my favourites. But I can understand why people get frustrated with them. Probably like my coach does with me :lol:

I absolutely don't get the hype surrounding Lampard on his current form. He scores goals, but he's a central midfielder not a striker, and he doesn't do enough as a midfielder. In the game against us his only two real moments of note were the goals.

It's funny, if you go back a year you'd find loads of posts on here from people saying how gash Gerrard was playing, but he was doing exactly what Lampard is doing now. Floating around, picking the odd hollywood pass but otherwise not contributing much to the game and then popping up with goals.

gerrard has declined a lot more in the last two years than lampard though. Lampard is still on to get 15 a season again. Would he score as many with us? doubt he would, but i'd rather see him in that advanced role than fellaini, much more suited to it. I'd have him in my all time prem XI if i'm honest, because he's a match winner, something we lack. This is all irrelevant anyway because of course he's going to recieve better offers than ours, at least it's a bit of ambition, like fer and negredo

Because its a laughable comment, not that there's no logical response.

Lampards goals (1 in 3) make his contribution to his side invaluable, but to make out the lad can't play or is some form of midfield ornament is an absolute joke.
