I respect him for coming in, immerse him for coming into the club, and trying to get what it meant to us as fans.

It’s a poison chalice of a club, but he didn’t help himself with the negative tactics, refusal to change his system.

I wish him no ill will, but it had to happen. It’s realistically 6 weeks too late, let’s home we make a speedy recovery so the new manager gets at least a week in.

Shame. He really tried to buy into the club and, for a few months last spring, he really understood what it was to be an Evertonian. I have much greater respect for him now than I did before he came to us and hope it's not the end for him as a coach.

Can't really defend his record though unfortunately – although some would be wise to note that not many managers out there would have us in a much better place with the set up we currently have.

That being said, this is what you get for being a David Cameron supporter.
