Everton sack Lampard​

Everton have sacked Frank Lampard in the wake of the defeat away to West Ham at the weekend.

Sky Sports News understands the Everton board took the unanimous decision to relieve him of his duties today with the club in the relegation zone.

The club are talking to a number of candidates to replace Lampard.

The defeat to the Hammers leaves Everton 19th in the Premier League table.

Frank has apparently cable tied himself to the goalposts and Goodison.

They’re just trying to find the bolt cutters, so they can remove him, and finally announce his departure.

He's got a 'Just Vote Tory' top on too.

Shame. He really tried to buy into the club and, for a few months last spring, he really understood what it was to be an Evertonian. I have much greater respect for him now than I did before he came to us and hope it's not the end for him as a coach.

Can't really defend his record though unfortunately – although some would be wise to note that not many managers out there would have us in a much better place with the set up we currently have.
