I have no idea how you draw the conclusion that we were not looking at another striker before Calvert-Lewin got injured from those words. It clearly doesn't say what you and others are claiming.

He was trying to avoid answering anymore on Anthony Gordon, he was asked if he could guarantee fans he will be hear at the end of the transfer window, they are after a headline ffs, he just shut them down. Context though. Was asked that's it's been 6 weeks since Richy left and no striker. He said we had Dom 3 days before the season started so it hasn't been 6 weeks of having no one and that we looked to strengthen other areas.
