I just can't see VdB getting a look in at this point. Would be a huge gamble (although playing any of these other fuckers is hardly a sure thing either).

i think Lampard is influenced by performance and professionalism in training. Sadly, I got the impression he was persuaded by Patterson last game for Scotland where he again impressed but injury happened soon after.

Maybe Lampard found a formula that worked against Chelsea & Leicester that could’ve been deployed in earlier games but should’ve been discarded at Watford (he said the players ‘were frustrated at not being allowed to run forward’).

Regardless, all that matters is tonight. Good luck Lampard.
