You can slice it whatever way you want mate - but you brought the form league into it so sticking with that - since Lampard become Everton manager, only 1 team has earned less points in the league.

That's why we've gone from being 15th/6 points clear with a game in hand to 18th.
Agreed it is woeful , but them daft points thrown away are mainly down to 3 players Holgate Keane & Kenny.

Yet it could be way way worse.
Them 2 wins agst Newcastle & Man utd wouldnt happen under Benitez.
We would be sunk by now.

Should have kept Benitez and saved millions but the club pandered to the players downing tools and rabid fans yet again.

Even if we had gone down he would have brought us back up most likely. Its uncertain if Lampard would do that going off his Derby stint.
It was horrible when he was manager. The set pieces. The constant 'I know how to do everything' attitude. The 'I can't see anything wrong with how we are playing'. The not giving James a chance when Richy said later he was training hard. Just everything about it stunk. The 442 against Liverpool and hiding comfortably behind the sack the board protest. The getting rid of more staff than games won. He created problems that 'only he could fix'. Lowered expectations from 59pts last season to telling our players they are not good enough. I gave him a chance at the start. A couple of months in it all felt horrible.
Spending millions getting rid is not the worst money we've spent by a long shot.

What about benitez first 12 v Frank's first 12.

Every managers last 12 games before they are sacked is going to be abysmal reading including Frank's if ever it comes to it. (Hopefully not)

So far he isn't doing as good as Benitez. Once you dont manipulate and take away games that are inconvenient. But frank has time to put that right. And hopefully its not after we are relegated.
Benitez's first 12 games are almost irrelevant to where he left the side.

It's like saying what's more relevant, Martinez's first season, or his third?

It wasn't just caving into the players though. He was a) divisive b) really bad c) devious with his PR machine and d) clueless

He was an awful, awful pick, because he's not a good manager

This isn't a defence of Lampard. He's made mistakes, but recently he's found a style which should have resulted in more points and only didn't because of mistakes and basic errors.

We've been calling for a manager to ruffle a few feathers for years after numerous pushovers and uninterested appointments.

Fans cant slate the club over jobs for the boys, keeping on the same unqualified fitness/conditioning department and recruitment team but then moan when we got a manager in who was throwing them all under the bus and booting key personnel out the door.

We get the club we deserve.

Im not saying Benitez was perfect or that he had done a good job but I do believe its no coincidence that after a good start to the season the wheels came off as soon as he called into question the likes of Brands / Donachie.

The clubs a holiday camp and if you dont tow the party line you're out.
