AFC Fylde vs Cambridge United
23rd November 2027
Mel Pope came in for the suspended Bret McGavin after the midfielder picked up five yellow cards. If you were to predict the first goalscorer you'd have your money on Euan Henderson and he delivered on 18 minutes getting on the end of the long ball over the top from Johnson and putting it to the side of the keeper. Cambridge had a great chance to equalise when they fired the ball into the box but the header was just over the bar, Foster looked beaten. Pope found Johnson with a beautifully flighted pass which set the winger off down the right, he crossed for O'Neill but he had his header saved, he was quick to follow up and knocked the ball in for Fylde's second! Wisdom took the corner on 65 minutes towards the back post for O'Neill but Gibson won the ball and headed it across his goal, Johnson tried to turn it in but it deflected to Pope who's shot was blocked, Feeney with the half volley into the top corner! What a strike! Feeney with his first of the season! Mitchell Gale provided a wonderful cross for David Gibson on 72 minutes, the striker getting clear of Morton and striking the ball at force past Foster to give Cambridge a glimmer of hope. O'Neill had a great chance towards the end of the game to make it four but he put the shot wide of the post.

York City vs AFC Fylde
4th December 2027
Rochdale closed the gap to five points winning their game in hand putting Fylde's position at the top under pressure. It was the first meeting of the two promoted sides in League Two and York were not having the best of seasons in 17th place. The first half was tense with no sides able to break the deadlock, Dimitri Sea had a particularly quiet first half for York. Fifteen minutes left on the clock and both sides had chances to win the game but the defence was playing well as a unit. There was a coming together between Paul Nurse and Bret McGavin both going in for a 50/50 with Nurse coming off worse, both players stayed down for a while with Nurse having to leave the field. Into stoppage time and a minute to play, Allaway wins the flick on to Henderson who breaks clear down the left and crosses it into the box for Allaway with a one on one but the keeper saves it. Wisdom runs over to take to corner, McGavin wins the header and it hits the bar and goes over. The whistle is blown and it's a draw here in York.
DF: We should have done a lot better, I think the lads realised we were playing a team that gave us a tough time back in the National League! McGavin has picked up a slight ankle injury which will keep him out against Coventry and Josh Ferguson has picked up a knock which could see him miss it but they both should be back for the F.A. Cup
