There will be changes : definitely Robles; Miralles, Lennon, Gibson, Osman, Naismith in with a chance; Baines too if he's ready. But if Martinez wants to use his squad - which I support - why should the Bournemouth game be exempt ? Make a couple of changes on Saturday and a couple against Boro, and everyone's happy.

I won't be happy. No point changing a winning team.

Totally agree, never saw the need to rest a winning team the game before a cup game - full strength squad to go out and smash Bournemouth all over the place and go into the Boro game with massive confidence - then rest 3-4 players (Robles for Howard, Cleverley for Barry, Mirallas for Deulofeu and Baines for Galloway being obvious ones)

For the first time in a long time, we talk about replacements and the team still looks strong:

Drop: Galloway, Barry, McCarthy, barkley, Delboy and kone.

Include: Baines, Cleverley, besic, Gibson, lennon and Mirallas.

Quality is still there, great squad of players at our disposal now.

Tbf that doesn't really count as Baines is our starting LB. Aside from that we do have decent depth, but I wouldn't want to change them all in one go! :o

But we'll lose some silly games where we're expected to get the points and will end up 6th (max)

Everton that.

I would change them all in one either, you could change any of them and we would still be fine. I always agree that you should play your strongest team though unless carrying a niggle...

I'm pretty sure our squad is strong enough to compete on TWO fronts ffs. TWO. Why are we talking about resting players? The only players who need a rest are maybe ones who are older or prone to an injury.

Mirallas should play over Kone and Cleverley over Barry. Oh and Robles in goal. Those are the only changes I would make, and maybe Baines if he's fit enough to handle it.

The boro game is miles more important than the Bournemouth game.if some of our players can't handle 2 games in a week then they should be rested on saturday
