the stack of mounting injuries is worrying, but with distain out it means at least one of stones/jagielka will play tonight, hopefully together and not alongside alcaraz, think the partnership needs building rather than rotating, it's still early season so they shouldn't be knackered, for my money i'd go: Howard Browning Jagielka Stones Oviedo Gibson, Besic, McGeady, Naismith, Atsu, Eto'o.

Like that line up.

One would hope the fact that Eto'o and McGeady have experience over there will be an asset. But hope is a very dangerous thing my friend.

Gutted Martinez took both lukaku and eto'o just 3 days before a crucial away match to Utd, I would have taken eto'o fair enough but he'll come under more pressure should we get thumped Sunday and be near the bottom 3 with 5 points+ behind all our top 4/6 rivals

It's all about using the squad martinez even if so many don't play keep them fresh at home rather than the travelling to and from Russia.

He will come under pressure from impatient buffoons IMO.

It is when your juggling europa league games aswell as league matches. That's the point for me he was banging on all summer about needing a squad to cope with the demands yet 3 days before a big league match he sends both our main strikers to Russia alongside a number of other first team players.

Lukaku is hardly full of stamina regardless why take him when you have eto'o, Kone and long?

Yep - I think if we go for it we have a good chance. The United away game on Sunday is a real shame.

I'll be watching Wolfsburg Lille straight after too (KO @ 6pm)... hoping for a draw there!
