No I like martinez but I fear he's put all his eggs in one basket this season and is going for the europa without too much care about our league position. Problem is all it takes is a city or roma to drop down from the CL and suddenly it no longer looks that easy to win it.

I can't be arsed writing it all again but like I said previously the top 4 is more achievable than ever this season as is top 6 which equals more money, a better calibre of player who you can attract and more chance of your players like Mirallas signing new contracts rather than being tempted away elsewhere.

Also the drop in finishing money for say 5th to say 10th Is quite a bit for a club like ours, Fans would soon moan if we are a couple of million short of signing a Tadic type player in the summer which we would have had for finishing a few places higher etc.

It is when your juggling europa league games aswell as league matches. That's the point for me he was banging on all summer about needing a squad to cope with the demands yet 3 days before a big league match he sends both our main strikers to Russia alongside a number of other first team players.

Lukaku is hardly full of stamina regardless why take him when you have eto'o, Kone and long?

You've got to take your best striker, look at Chelsea, they have an injury prone Diego Costa, playing every game even tho they have Drogba and Remy.

Kone clearly isn't fit enough to be playing, so seems pointless taking him to Russia to not be involved.

I am slightly surprised that Long hasn't been involved in any squads this season. But i'd rather have Lukaku on the bench to bring on if we are struggling tonight.

Do you still keep a look out for Everton's results? Yes, I get to watch all the games from Russia. It was a fantastic derby game at the weekend and a fantastic point after an amazing goal by Phil Jagielka. I still watch as many games as I can.

You have played against FC Krasnodar before. What do you make of their style? Sometimes they play really good football and can be really fast on the counter-attack. They will always try to win the game. They were really impressive in the their Europa League qualifying win against Real Sociedad and I’m sure they’ll be looking to win on Thursday. They will try to play very fast football, but I think physically and mentally Everton will be favourites.

What type of atmosphere will the FC Krasnodar fans create on the night? I think the city really enjoys its football and the people will fill the stadium. It will be a difficult place to go for any team in the Europa League this year. I'm expecting a great atmosphere and hopefully the game will match it.

You played with Aiden McGeady at Spartak Moscow. How highly do you rate him? I like him. We played together a few years ago and I think he is a very good player. He’s got very good skills and is great at crossing the ball. I think he’ll want to play well on Thursday to show the Russian people how good he can be. He is generally a player that the Russian people liked.

Was a time a team replete with Brazilians would have worried me and all.

Nowadays there aren't that many Brazilian players would worry anyone.

And you wouldn't think that any of them would be playing for Krasnodar

If Costa picks up a bad injury which costs them possibly the title you don't think Mourinho would take a bashing from the fans/media over not resting him?

And Costa didn't exactly influence the match result which Is because away matches in Europe are difficult regardless who you play, 1 player often is never the difference in these competitions it's totally different to the PL. having eto'o and long would make no difference to having eto'o and lukaku tonight other than it keeps rom fresh for the utd game which time we fly back from Russia will have 2 days to prepare.
