Fit players for the derby

Didn't we go 3 at the back when Baines limped off at the reverse fixture and destroyed them!? I'm all for that if we have the players fit

I thought we had Pienaar and then Barry alternately dropping into LB to hold a back 4

Barkley won't be ready for the derby and I wouldn't risk him either. Too massive of a game to come straight back in for. Aston Villa or Tottenham will be more suitable. Deulofeu will probably be back for Villa or Spurs.

We've just got to ride it out in the derby and play with what we've got. Remember, their defence is awful and Gerrard is a tortoise.

I hate to see the squad looking thin but if Traore signs by tomorrow he could be available for Tuesday, if fit? Barry and McCarthy to work the engine room and because Mirallas played so well in the AMC role I think he has to play there, but on the other hand I don't want to see Osman on the left wing EVER AGAIN!

Barkley will be back. Don't know about Delefeou.

Only going off what's been reported in the press, but it seems like a fairly safe assumption that Barkley and Deulofeu won't be playing. Pienaar has a groin problem and is "expected back soon" so it sounds like he could make it. As for Coleman, it depends what you make of today's announcement, my guess would be that he'll need more time to heal properly, but happy to defer to anyone with medical knowledge !
