I actually don't mind the Kirby design. My biggest bugbear with it was that they planned to build it in Kirby.

If we're going to model the new ground on an existing stadium, forget your soulless bowls like the Emirates and Etihad, I'd want something like this

Aye that's what we need, Guard Towers on each corner. Machine gun any of the ungrateful feckers who dare leave their seat before the final whistle.

As others have said, we have 9 boxes. Nine. I don't care how many awards you win for exceptional service, when other clubs have ten times the boxes you have, they're going to brining in ten times the income (at least).

Reputation and advertising. Look at New Highbury, or should I said, the Emirates. I don't for a second want Goodison renamed, but how much do you think we'd get for some company to slap their name on the stadium? Pennies. The same goes for other forms of advertising involving the stadium. Why? Bad marketing tool. It's not a shiny, new, 60,000 seater. It's a giant blue Anderson shelter.

We could have 50 boxes but it wouldn't matter a jot because we can hardly get enough takers for the nine we've got, and one of them those 9 is generally leased by a player. That's just were we are as a club, our fans on the whole aren't wealthy and we as a club aren't glamorous enough to attract business away from our competitors.

Also the only other none new stadium I can think of that's had a name change due to sponsorship was the SportsDirect stadium, I'm not sure how much was paid but it clearly wasn't a successful venture as it didn't last long and is now back to St.James Park. Although I personally wouldn't like to see us sell out from calling the ground Goodison Park to whatever sponsors we could find, I suppose any untapped revenue stream is an improvement on not tapping it.

We clearly need to either find a new home or restructure Goodison into a modern facility, but it's not whats holding Everton back from competing at the top. The real problem is the fact we've not go wealthy owners who are willing to throw money hand over fist at the club. Bring in an extra £5-10m per season won't suddenly make us champion contenders, it may well fund an extra player now and then but it won't revolutionize us like some people claim.

I think our change in playing style, success on the pitch, and certainly a new stadium would add to the "glamour". We have to be forward thinking and not stagnate as a club.

Imagine them towers in the corner, filled with executive boxes, more running the length of the two touchline stands. A 45 to 50,000 capacity, with season ticket prices fixed at £400 for lower tier behind the goal, £450 for upper tier behind the goal, £550 for lower tier down the touchlines, £600 for middle tier and £650 for upper tier.

The best in in-stadium catering at reasonable prices, you'd generate far more by selling more. Improve the matchday experience for families, have entertainment on the pitch before the game, fan involvement. Package deals for supporters coming from a bit further and staying in Liverpool for the weekend, instead of £35 for a match ticket, why not £50 for a match ticket and a stadium tour the following day.

In fact, just make me the corporate director now, and I'll have Everton back to the top in no time.

Mate if we had 50 boxes, over looking the pitch without any obstructed views, competitively priced we would sell them I promise you that.

all great ideas, but SURELY all these would have been floated/discussed etc..i know the ownership and marketing are questioned on here, but i cant believe they wouldnt have looked at simple things like this

There's absolutely no evidence for this, like I've explained a few times we hardly sell 9 reasonably priced boxes as it is. I can't understand how you can be so assertive about it when the evidence is to the contrary. These facilities are available on a game by game basis there not even all leased on a seasonal tenure it hardly screams high demand.

Goodison is a sh1t hole, its hardly gonna attract the people.

I went on the tour several months back. One of those boxes is labelled 'Super Six', that is Jagielka's. The one nearest to the Park End behind the manager is Gareth Barry's. He has also decorated it with pictures of himself.
