FIFA banning poppies

As plenty have pointed out here, there are so many ways for the English and Scottish FAs to get around this single rule of no political emblems on the shirts. Use jackets, the big screen, play the last post, have a minutes silence. The occasion can be suitably remembered without risking some arbitrary punishment from FIFA.

Think I clarified earlier in the week . I was on a little fishing expedition. Immature and poor effort that it was like.

Just fishing ? Right, lets examine the evidence.

As an NI fan, I've no issue with a player deciding they'd rather play for the republic, that's up to them. But what does really annoy us all is the likes of Mcclean who use our setup from u15s right through to u21s and then at very last minute decide to reject a cap and go off to the south, whilst making bigoted political points in the process. Players have every right to choose who they want to represent should they have a choice. But there's right and wrong ways of going about it.

Never quite understood why he hates the country which has made him a very wealthy young man as much as he does.

No, you have previous on this which proves that you consider him to be a bigot.

I made that point about youth set ups again earlier this week. And I'll stand by that.

Is he a bigot? No probably not. Do I like to insinuate he is for bites? Yes at times where I feel I might get them.

Do I care about players defecting to play for the South? Not particularly no. It's just symptomatic of where I've grown up.

Do I think it's acceptable to play numerous times at 21 level before deciding? No. That does somewhat annoy me.

But I sense you want to take this debate somewhere I didn't intend it to go. So far that reason I'm leaving it at this...

Then there's gimps like Jack Grealish who play for Ireland all the way up to a certain age but then decide to declare for England after a good season in the Premier League

How's that working out for him again?
