Fergie sniffing round Rodwell

id probably see him ago for about 15 mil, not what i'd like but is what i think will happen within 2 seasons

If Naughton is worth around £7M, then Rodwell is worth closer to £15M since he is in the U-21 squad already, have PL experience and international experience as well.

Rodwell's not going to go anywhere for a very long time. Man U are being linked to everyone at the moment and seeing the story came from 'The People' it has -100% chance of being true.

Ha ha you have to laugh, i doubt this is the first time the likes of Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea have tried to sign him, hes chosen Everton and its the best club for him presently. He will be here for a long time.

He seems like a much nicer and more down to earth lad then Once a blue anyway.

Exactly, it would be foolish to let such a great prospect like Rodwell leave, especially for £9 million, he'll be here for a good while yet and will continue to improve next season.

Plus it's in the people which makes it very unlikely to be true.

Fergie can fcuk off.

This lad's our future and in my opinion he's a future Everton and England captain.

So HANDS OFF.

If we need the money, I think that selling the unwanted players won't make us cash in what we need.

To sell one of proeminent players would bring money and also the loss of an important player.

If this kid is worth some good money, I think he's the one we can afford to lose.

He's not an important first team member yet and he's worth some big money.

So I think he's an offloadable player.

Agree. If we need to sell someone to get £20M to fund new players, I'd rather sell Rodwell over Lescott. Rodwell isn't as important and don't need a new replacement to cover his specific position.

Rodwell will soon be irreplaceable. More so than any other player in our squad.

Im genuinely excited about him.

Not saying he won't.

But selling the likes of Arteta or Pienaar would make us a weaker side.

That's not the case on Rodwell.

Of course we'd be offloading an expected future asset but it's the only possibility that will allow us to fund the signing of new players without losing team quality.

Sadly we're skint...

I see it the complete opposite way.

Because we are skint, we've got to keep hold of our best young talent. In about 3 years when all the under 21's etc are at the top of their game, we wont be able to sign any of them!

Just a tad on the short sighted side to say we should sell him because he isn't a first team player.....

All of this is utterly irrelevant as the story is complete hogwash.

HOGWASH I TELLS YOU!

* been drinking in the garden all day and should probably stop posting before i start talking about that girl across the street....

No way, I want to sell Rodwell. Absolutely love to see players coming through the youth academy and making it in top football. Also who knows, maybe Rodwell will be the long time successor to Lescott, as Moyes keeps saying he sees him as a future centre back.
