We already have the money in form of a loan by all accounts, it can't not exist.

I'm honestly not trying to be funny mate, but do you have anything which says we have been lent 8million pound, and that the 8million is still available?

I remember reading that we had around 3million available, and the rest was to be paid in installments over a number of years. I can't remember reading anything that said we had been lent 8million. Who provided the loan?

I agree with the other guy, who believes this '8million' will have vanished come the Summer.

Of course i don't. Just the same as anybody saying the money will 'vanish' has no proof either.

Which is fair enough. Not exactly substantiated by 'all accounts', though. More of an opinion based on very little.

I'm talking about the existence of an 8 million pound loan here, not just whether the 'money' will vanish or not?

Opinion of people who know their stuff, actually.

Right, well you won't actually mind, telling us all how you actually know this then?

Just asking how you know this, as I've yet to see it reported anywhere. There's no problem if you're correct, I just want to know what you are basing it on?

We didn't, we had around £3M, the rest of the £8.6M Fer deal was going to be paid in installments over rthe course of his contract.

Which means that we were committed to spending it, but not that we had the cash at hand.

This isn't even the issue.

Whether money was to be paid in instalments or all at once, the board had the ability to pay that much. Therefore, i see no reason why we won't have the ability to pay that much in the Summer.

Arguing whether or not we had £8m, or £5m, or ten quid to pay up front is moving away from the point.

I just told you, it's from people who know their stuff. I wasn't talking about myself and i'm certainly not going to say who told me that as it's not my place.

The fact that Baines rejected United wasn't widely reported (and still hasn't been) either, yet that is absolutely true.

Lescott and Rooney that wasn't the case was it ?

I suppose I mean that's what's happened over Rodwell and in all honesty once we've paid out agent's & general fees for Felliani plus the further similar costs subsequent deals would cost us around half ish is what I'd be expecting plus maybe a bit more but that's all guesswork though .

I would however be surprised to see us spend what we generally receive but that's just my pessimistic nature I suppose .

No it's not, it was a point that needed clarifying as you were making out the money was there & it isn't.

They could lose the will or the ability to pay that same amount of money between now & the summer, so it can't be a 'given'.

Albeit I would tend to agree with you & say that there'll be at least that to play with, but a big money 'out' might alter their thinking.

Right, so the existence of an 8million pound loan hasn't been reported by 'all accounts' at all. In fact, the only source that is reporting this happens to be 'your mate'. That's me convinced.

Who provided the loan?

The loan would show up at Companies House, no?
