No it's not, it was a point that needed clarifying as you were making out the money was there & it isn't.

They could lose the will or the ability to pay that same amount of money between now & the summer, so it can't be a 'given'.

Albeit I would tend to agree with you & say that there'll be at least that to play with, but a big money 'out' might alter their thinking.

You don't know that though, do you ?

The majority of football transfers are paid in instalments, just because we were following that route doesn't mean we didn't have the money guaranteed.

Right, so the existence of an 8million pound loan hasn't been reported by 'all accounts' at all. In fact, the only source that is reporting this happens to be 'your mate'. That's me convinced.

Who provided the loan?

The loan would show up at Companies House, no?

Not sure where i said that, either. I'm really not arsed whether you're convinced or not, you clearly believe whatever suits your agenda, as your fake bid bollocks proved. I'm not going to continue arguing with somebody who thinks the Fer deal was a fake bid.

Yeah I reckon I do, as it was widely reported, plus Elstone & Moyes said pre & during the window that we only had a small amount to play with. I can say with an air of certainty that we didn't have £8M in cash at hand.

Speaking personally I'm not convinced anyone is certain where the money came from , I suspect it's from Bill's alleged advisor or 'supporter' but whether it was a guarantee, a loan , formal or informal investment is anybodies guess . I think the reality is we were percieved to have had a couple of million then we had a lot more so it came from somewhere , although like others I doubt it was the full £8m.

It was widely reported that Baines was going to United for £12m too.

Was it? Not arsed, it's of zero relevance.

I don't see why you're labouring this point anyway tbh, as I'm not suggesting that we couldn't fund the deal, merely that we weren't going to pay 'cash on the nail'. I'm also saying that there's no guarantee at all, that they will use the same amount of cash (plus outgoings) in the next window.

This isn't even the issue.

Whether money was to be paid in instalments or all at once, the board had the ability to pay that much. Therefore, i see no reason why we won't have the ability to pay that much in the Summer.

Arguing whether or not we had £8m, or £5m, or ten quid to pay up front is moving away from the point.

Who's labouring ?

Nobody is asking you to argue, they're just asking how you know we were loaned 8 million pound in January, and yet we didn't spend any of it on a first team player?

If you want to hide behind all this 'It's a secret' nonsense, as to how you know this, then that's fine and entirely up to you. But surely you will forgive people for not taking your 'secret source' seriously, and denouncing it as unsubstantiated rumour?
