We're banning players from drinking on a week day, now? Who here has never drunk during a working week, even on a friday or saturday when work isn't the next day? Fecking no-one thats who.

Even if he was playing on the sunday, this would be fine, when he's not even playing for two more weeks it's obviously okay.

And as for brian clough wouldn't accept it, because no clubs in the 70s and 80s had a drinking culture, ffs.

And i'm pretty sure Clough liked a tipple, and that's putting it nicely.

If we had camera phones , the Internet , an intrusive press and this forum then the stories of our most succesful side ever would certainly generate debate that's for sure.

What a naughty boy, hoped he smashed her vag in.

Incidentally, thought he moved to manny to avoid the orange looking scousers? But then goes to the mothership of Wannabee wags central?

And?

Do you think that if you're suspended from work they check up on you to make sure you're not enjoying yourself in the meantime?

You seem to have conveniently missed off the other line of my post, so I'll repeat it for your benefit:

As Mick says I would have rather seen him supporting the team from the stands v Stoke, that's all.

His job isn't only to turn up for games though, his job is to work hard all the time so that when the time comes, he'll be in top competitive shape. Sure I've gotten drunk in the middle of the week, but I wouldn't do it if my job required me to be in top shape physically.

Yes, a little R&R is good for a player, and maybe i'll be proven wrong if he comes back and immediately hits top form. But with an important run of games coming up, I would have appreciated it if he took the opportunity to work extra hard, since he can rest over the weekend. Maybe he could even pop over to the beach and have a few cocktails after training, but in that picture he looks sloshed... doubt he's dragging himself out of bed for an early training session after that.

I get the points that the club gave him permission, I just wonder if they would do the same had it been one of our less obviously talented players? I also wonder how much Fellaini is able to get away with, and if his importance to the club may come ahead of the tight ship Moyes likes to keep.

Lad, do you really think they'd have let him go if it was going to mess his fitness up ? Come on.
