Fellaini to Chelsea, says his Dad?

I doubt he'll go this summer. I don't think he'd sign such a long contract without the intention of giving us another year. The only ways I can see him going is if a once in a lifetime opportunity, like Real for example, came along (which he would have every right to push through), or if we got an offer we couldn't refuse. I'd like to think that starts at at least £25m for a player of his calibre. If we accept less than that due to our "financial situation" then Bill will be DEAD to me.

I agree with the sentiment - but the reality is, for any club in debt banks set the minimum asking price not Chairman. It has worked in our favour don't forget - Jelavic wouldn't be ours had in not been for Rangers plight. Like anything you sell in life, it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it and how many people are competing to buy it.

All that said - we should fight to the last to keep hold of Felli and, like Arteta, only let him go for the right price if he himself wants to leave.

Despite our financial position, £22 million would be an absolute joke. It's a shame our true financial plight had to be leaked out there like it did, especially the bit about the banks. I had a feeling these sort of would happen again over the summer. Fellaini is worth £35 million I'd say. He would walk into any side in the Premier League right now, and most big European sides.

Don't even get me started on £10 million for Barkley either. That would be a travesty.

He just signed a five year deal too.

When was the last time a top level player signed a five year deal and moved less than 12 months after signing it ?
