We played very well in spells were clinical in front of goal and Howard was sublime second half.

Winning creates confidence and beating very good quality European opposition multiplies that confidence, and for that reason, this result was incredibly important. Loved it, COYB!!!!

all hail BBC's summary on the right there - breathtaking.

We could have scored 8 though mate

Lille will be an entirely different test for us, not as threatening going forward but will be a nightmare to break down, only 26 goals or something ridiculous conceded in Ligue 1 last year and led by one of the finest managers in Europe M. René Girard. If we can take 3 points against them at home or away I'd say we're as good as through.

As i said, we thoroughly deserved the win. Definitely not knocking the team there, we played magnificent, however, Naismith looks knackered now! Give him a break on Sunday, as i said though, they're not a bad team, we're in a tough group, and we've turned them over wonderfullt today.

LOSC, are as you say, a very tough team, however, Krasnodar scored against them, and we're supposedly better than them, so i think on that basis 10 points will see us go through. Lille and Wolfsburg could easily draw, and should we take 9 points from our home games, it's the simple matter of picking up a couple of draws or a win away from home.

Tonight was great.

Said to my mate that the perfect scenario is us winning and Lille drawing, that's exactly happened.

10 points will see us through imo, and Wolfsburg, Lille and Krasnodar are instantly on catchup, should we beat Krasnodar, and then Wolfsburg and Lille Draw, we'll be sitting 5points clear of 3rd, which is exceedingly exciting.

As for the game today, we played great, however, the scoreline was incredibly flattering, it's clearly obvious that VfL are a very good side, and on another day, or if Joel had been in Goal, they could easily have got 5-6 today, they were just a bit unlucky.

Kevin Mirallas though.
Good shout on Joel in goal.
