This was one of the reasons why he was so good. He could sell the keeper and take it round for a tap in, if the keeper guessed right he'd chip it over them with the outside of his foot. He could smash them in from outside the box, he could find any little space that keeper hadn't covered 100% and hit the inside of side netting.

He didn't need to make things spectacular every time. I think that's why some people underrate him.

Concur with the original post. What made him the greatest for me was his footwork. At his peak (prior to his knee exploding) his ball control was exceptional. Step overs so fast it was a blur. Marcel Desailly compared him to a video game character.

Can you please change the title of this thread? So disrespectful to one of the greatest players ever to play the game. If it weren't for his knee injuries he might have been regarded as the best ever.
