We've had a gross spend of £220m since Mosh came in, we've made £150m, counting Lukaku as 76m, this would have been £195m had things worked out as planned on the last evening.

We've borrowed for the training ground, tarted up goodison and came close to getting a subsidised ground.

Why does it feel Everton is still a viable saleable asset rather than a club challenging for trophies? I suspect he's more careful with his cash than many on here had thought. I've no doubt he wants to see them successful and not drain the asset but I also think a man who lives in Monaco to avoid tax knows how to be careful as well.

I don't know what people were expecting. He's worth 1.2b isn't he? How long would that last if he was financing deals personally.

Best you can hope for is someone who knows what they're doing in terms of the new stadium and improving the club as a business. This fella is not gonna buy us the league. He can't even buy us into the top 4.

He's like shiniwatra before the Arabs bought citeh

Would agree, it is not asset stripping but asset preparation. Getting something ready so that it is in a position to develop and therefore is saleable or alternatively profitable.

The only trouble is the unpredictability of football.

A team with 50,000 fans, a new stadium and a competing at the top is very attractive, its the last one that is tricky.

I always thought you were an intelligent bloke, but thats just a ridiculous post.

Intelligence can be a fleeting characteristic in my case. Just thoroughly peeved at how toothless we are. Tongue in cheek I may have said it, but I don't think the bloke can be defended on the matter. Especially not when the window was still open and he was spouting on SSN.

Didn't Koeman say he only wanted his top choices in relation to CF.
For example, let's say Giroud rejected us.
Would you rather we went for Jon Walters or wait until January to get Giroud?
