Fans leaving early

I left early once, it was with mixed emotions. The 3-2 loss against Villa 2008, we equalized in injury time and they scored right, Ashley young got a couple that night. Those used to be intense matches

Sorry but if you're leaving when there's only a goal in it I'd question why you bother coming at all. Give your seat up and let someone who wants to be there in.
Clearly there'll be situations when you've GOT to absolutely get somewhere for a job, look after kids, last train etc but if you're trying to simply be home half and hour earlier or beating the rush at the bar then you can get in the bin as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly this. If your sole aim is to beat the traffic why bother going to the game at all?

I would just like to ask, why even go the game if you are going to leave 80 minutes........ ? you have missed a very special memory of Goodison at its brilliant best in those last moments. it's exactly why we go the game, for the finish at the end, the team needed your support, so whilst you may have got the extra few minutes to get back to your car you have missed a very special moment in Goodison history.

Can't understand it 😕
The last minute the brother said to leave because there was only a minute left. I said no because there was a minute left. He's glad now.

Never understand the leaving early myself.

I have NEVER left before the final whistle. Really just don't uderstand it.
I mean I accept that some people NEED to get away to catch trains or whatever, but I suspect some just get off in order to get an extra pint.
Crazy. 🤷‍♂️

No word of a lie but the difference between me leaving two mins early versus after the full time whistle is approx an hour in terms of getting back.

We have a two hour drive up too.

That's why some do.

Biggest bloooo on grand old team here

I’ve left early loads of times when we’ve been getting battered and put in half arsed performances etc. couldn’t have left early tonight though even if we would have lost the players deserved a bit of appreciation for a very good performance in which they gave everything.

The only time I’ve left early, it was justified cos we’d just conceded the third to Tranmere and that was too much to take for a not yet 16 year old me

Nevermind leaving early, a lad on my row went for a piss after about 10 minutes and then went downstairs to get a drink after 33 and didn’t come back til half time. What a waste of time and money if that’s what you’re going to do.
