Fans leaving early

To my shame I left as soon as it hit 95 mins and legged it to get the 919 back to Lime St. Was in the queue when we equalized.

Only good thing was I had Radio Merseyside on my headphones and got to relay the good news to the Blues there. There was a few nervous looks when I said the goal had gone to var but people were jumping all over each other in the queue when I said it had been given.

Gwladys was still pretty packed even before the goal so the diehards there got what tonight meant.

I've thought this for a few years but the Park End stand must be one of the most passive behind the goal stands you can get in the U.K. Never anyone signing, fans slow to get up and celebrate even when goals are scored and I'm never confident when away teams are attacking it. Surprise surprise loads of empty seats were popping up as soon as injury time hit although perhaps they were the closest in proximity to RAWS so maybe understandable tonight.
I sit in there - I think most are dead behind the eyes. Zero encouragement for the team from most of them unless the going is good.

I would just like to ask, why even go the game if you are going to leave 80 minutes........ ? you have missed a very special memory of Goodison at its brilliant best in those last moments. it's exactly why we go the game, for the finish at the end, the team needed your support, so whilst you may have got the extra few minutes to get back to your car you have missed a very special moment in Goodison history.

Can't understand it 😕
My sentiments exactly!

Not everyone goes for the same reason you do, or has the same priorities you do, which is probably why you don't understand it.

When I go to games I do stay until the end, but I have no right judge other people who want to do something different.

Park End is the worst behind goal stand in the league. Makes it worse they are the ones next to away fans. We get corners and they are still sat down. Absolute dead. I used to have a season ticket there in 90s was better then. Don’t know what happened.

No idea where you've sat in the Park End, but I've sat in PE4 for 26 years, and not once have I, or anybody around me sat down for a corner.

Apparently when the team come out for kick off, there’s only the lightest ripple of applause too, is there any truth in that?
Think even Ferdinand said how quiet the PE was during commentary too.

I noticed this occurring in the upper glawadys section, I pretty buzzed lightyeared (highly intoxicated) so I was getting irked by it , not being confrontational but asking out loud why they'd attend the last derby at Goodison only to flee early when the result wasn't to your liking , that's what makes those games potentially memorable that last minute tension. If we were down 5 or something I could at least understand it

With the game lasting now for 95 minutes plus you are right who are we to judge, but what happened those last few minutes you can't buy that, for them lot singing "we won tue league at Goodison" to then Tarky putting the ball in their net PURE GOLD 😉

Spare a thought for those of us who can never get tickets and just stay in your seats next time lads. I know we've been horrendous for most of this season but you're still luckier than me to be sat there

Certain situations require people to leave early I fully get it.
But I have this out with the brother in law who leaves early all the time.
Why are you leaving early ?
To miss the traffic
For what reason?
To get home half an hour early.
For what?
Err don’t know
You’ll get back half an hour early to sit on the couch next to your missus
I don’t get it.
