I think itd be pretty funny him playing for england. Even though he isnt in the best of form he could slot into the team easily, replace Bentley on the right. It would be good to see...but i doubt Arteta would give up on Spain tbh...

Very slow news day today. I've trawled around the web and all I could come up with is a Moyes to Spurs rumour, which is plainly false.

Not sure he'd get in on current form but he probably has more chance than he does for Spain. Should be a moot point however as all this residency stuff is nonsense. The lad's Spanish and that should be the end of it.

England have far too many midfielders, not enough world class strikers or defenders. Arteta wouldnt get a game and be wasted.

I do think the reason he isnt in the Spanish squad now is because he plays for us. The minute Riera goes to the [Poor language removed], plays average or above average he's back in the squad after being dropped like a stone. Alonso too, been said he's too slow for Itatie football but still gets into the national squad regardless of pace (and not playing much last season). So regardless of pass being a problem or form, Arteta hasnt even been picked for a friendly.

He wont play for his national side while he plays for us.
