Started to do mine,and thru different contacts,found out i am on the same family line as Winston Churchill and the Spencer Family,But they have never called around. I also have some Welsh (Ruthin north wales)Great Great Granmother on my Dads side & Scottish (Aberlady in Edinburgh) Great Grandfather on my Dads side,and irish Grandfather on my Mums side,Not sure which part of Ireland yet to discover.Ancestry.com.uk good site

My mums maiden name is churchill and have heard rumour of connection to spencers!

I traced my last name to a particular town in the 4th century.

Im hoping when I go there people will look abit like me.

It would explain alot.

My mum's traced her side of the family back to Scotland (Glasgow), Ireland (County Mayo) and Spain (Malaga). It really is interesting stuff, really addictive once you get into it.

Ancestry.com is superb.
