How can anyone have faith in such a bunch of lying hypocrites ? It's getting worse, not better. Year after year. Criticise Moyes all you want, but if he goes we are Championship bound.

I would rather be in the Championship with an honest hard working board in charge of the club rather than this shower of liers, that have no respect for the fans or indeed no self respect . Sad times.

Don'e even think about it. Relegation would have dire consequences for this club.

Thats were we are going though mate either this season or next.
It would have dire consequences but treading water like we are doing will take us there.
The board sell our players and then close their eyes hoping for the best and eventually we will fall

Poll update...

Those wanting cheese on toast outnumber by 5:1 those who want this board of directors.

I don't think we'll be relegated under Moyes. Of course avoiding relegation is not enough, but if he were to go now it would only accelerate our downward spiral. He's been covering for the board's inadequacies for years. I do agree with Davek though that he's become part of the problem.

I think moyes has had the stuffing knocked out of him by the board and its only a matter of time and he will be off.
There is no passion anywhere its like we are waiting for the drop.

The problem I have with the board has got nothing to do with 'investment' or sale of the club. What I can't understand is how any commercial organisation running the 4th most successful club in England, one with a large fan base and real history, cannot turn this into a well run club. Our commercial performance is, and has been, woeful and our turnover is an absolute disgrace for a club of our stature. Forget buying anymore players, buy some decent commercial, business development and PR professionals and get the bloody club commercially performing. That will then pay for the players and will generate even more income once more success arrives. This is the boards responsibility and it has been their greatest failure.......bleeding amateur night.....

This.

After yesterday's game (nearly deaf after mum had shouted abuse at the tv-image of Atkinson for 90 mins straight) I was contemplating what it would take to turn everything around.
I would even be tempted now by letting Rodwell, Fellaini, Jags and Baines go if it meant that we could clear debt, get rid of the current board (or whichever deadweight there is) and get a board in that understands the economics of running a football club in a decent enough way that we don't immediately go into debt again.

I have no trouble with the whole sell-to-buy situation, every team does it in some part. The 50 mil for Torres, 92 mil (or whatever it was) for Cristiano. Buying in young hungry players and then sell them on to the big guns is a long term route to success even without much spending from the board. But when you have to sell 15-20 mil worth of players a year, just to keep afloat there is something fundamentally wrong. If you didn't know.

I think Moyes is, at present, past it at the Club. The fire and passion he brought is nowhere in sight, his tactics are horribly stale and his belief in the squad seems negative in the extreme. He needs to change his outlook, and if that's possible with a change of board then sure, he's done wonderful things for this club. Otherwise we need to bring someone in who's in the same bracket he was when he came here. Young and hungry, with belief in his own ability.
