Villa offer Leeds Delfouneso loan as bait in bid to catch £6m star Delph ahead of Everton | Mail Online

If they can offer players on loan as a bargaining chip.. why can't we? We have youngsters that need first-team experience so why not at Leeds? Offer them one or two of our youngsters on loan for a season to sweeten the deal.

Perfect players would be Wallace and Akpan, or possibly even Baxter. All made the bench in games last season. They all would benefit hugely from playing competitive games.

Id be delighted if we got this lad ive watched him three times now and each time hes impressed me grreat energy , good short passer , gets up and doen the pitch and is so comfortable and confident on the ball for one so young the only down side is probably his size and frame but hey Alan Ball was hardly a heavy weight boxer , This lad will go on and play for England i have little doubt about that and signing him now for £6m or whatever it takes will prove to be great business from Moyes and the club.

A real star in the making and he would fit in nicely with the likes of Coleman , Rodwell , Mustafi , Akpan , Garbutt and hopefully Naughton.

Haven't seen much of the lad if I'm being honest, but everyone seems to be giving the same spiel about him, so I will follow suit for now.

A young player with a bit of pace about him down our right hand side will do us no harm whatsoever.

If he is the player that everyone is making out then I will be very happy. I posted on Kipper the other day how happy I am to see that Moyes is showing an interest in the younger players out there. It tells me that he is looking to the future and it gives me the implication that he's willing to put a shift in at this club, which I am digging!

Most excellent point mate. Well said.

I wouldn't be too arsed if we brought in the likes of Naughton and Delph if we were able to combine it with some expierence and maybe a big signing.

Although i've heard we can't afford Delph.

I dont see how we couldnt afford him, maybe we have other targets and Leeds want more than we have spare, but you would imagine we would have enough funds to buy Naughton AND Delph. Even we aint that skint.

Leeds always want more they are skinter than us. Wow I nearly felt a little compassion for them. Not a sausage I remember the Don Revie days.

Villa are also set to bid £7m to land Leeds midfielder Fabian Delph, who is also wanted by Everton. (Daily Mirror)

You have to understand, you are dealing with one of the biggest cr***s around in the league in the name of Bates.

Nail. On. Head.

£7mill for Delph is a silly amount but one Bateswas hanging around for.

We wont pay that amount of cash so he's Villa bound and we will have to wait to see if we dodged a bullet or not.

I would pay 7 mill for him if im honest, ive seen him play, hes going to be a top player IMO.

Would be different if it wasnt for the long term but with the possibility of gettingmore then a decade out of the lad, i think seven mill is about right for his development.

*Think we will pay 6 with add ons.

But as I say, Chelsea and Man Utd were interesed in him last January but backed off due to the price. If they dont think he's worth £6mill upwards, then its going to be a gamble for anyone IMO.
