Is the type of player we needed if fit. Rotating with Gbamin and Gomes we would have had a decent midfield. He could still come good but it looks like he will only ever be fit for short. Like for like replacement for McCarthy in that sense.

Really disappointing this signing. Hoping he could have been a Milner or Barry type signing, but has literally become as big of a sick note as McCarthy/Besic. Would look to move on at the end of the season, newly promoted team or such.
