...I thought he sprayed the ball about quite accurately and expansively from deep. I was pleasantly surprised by that dimension of his game.
Yeah and foolish me thought he'd be replaced easier than he has. Suppose Gbamin may be a quality player when he's back.

I think Delph is very talented. Makes hard stuff look easy and has good movement.
Problem is either he or his midfield partner is always injured so its hard to build any sort of partnerships so he has just been in and out of the team doing kind of OK.
He does play some good passes, I think the narrative now though is he just passes sideways and backwards though which is him doomed already.

I thought he was poor 1st half yesterday. But the team was poor. 2nd half he was much better but the team was much better 2nd half too. There was more urgency in the play.

That was the plan. He hit Walcott really well on a few balls, but he isn’t dynamic enough. I just wish Gomes was a top tackler so we wouldn’t have to worry about our damn holding mid every game and just play someone a bit more positive.
