FA CUP or CL?

Is the question ..
1. champions league group stages or Fa Cup win?
2. is it Fa Cup win or 4th?
3. Or is it Fa cup final or 4th?.....

Out of these I would pick
1. Champions league..
2. Fa Cup..
3. Champions league..
Thats if I had a choice obviously we, Everton don‘t so we should just go for both really, it is possible people seem to think we can‘t, I can seriously say our squaads good enough

Typical post-Thatcherite attitudes on display here. "We want more money". That's not why I watch football - I watch in the hope (it used to be expectation) that we win a trophy.

How do you know those voting for CL aren't believing we'd win the CL? Or that the money and presumably higher quality players we could attract would lead us to win two FA Cups instead of just one? To those who choose fourth it represents a shot (not a guarantee but a shot) of being a real contender again. Does "we won the FA Cup last year and we're in the Europa" attract the same quality of players as "we qualified for the CL?" It's an imaginary choice and some people are choosing to imagine something which would transform this club back to where we believe it should be -- those people may be wrong (or not) but they are choosing the option they think will result in more trophies in the long-run v. a one-off trophy.

They don't put 'Qualifying for the Champions League' on your honours list.

These days they pretty much do -- hard to read any of those annoying "plucky Everton" articles without them mentioning that we finished fourth years ago. Granted it's not on an honours list but they mention it pretty much as much as if we'd won a Cup (that's not to say I agree with it ... just that it is). To many people being a CL club is more important than a domestic Cup -- times and perceptions change whether we like it or not but it doesn't make them less true that we don't like them.

People who are stating they want the CL over the FA Cup must never have experienced what its like to actually win a trophy
