F1 (2026)

What time sheets are you looking at? Don’t think they’ve been fastest on any day of testing yet

They haven't pushed at all. On the GPS they are gaining between 0.25 and 0.5 secs on a single corner. Their engine is harvesting much more energy and they can run it higher at will.

It's very ominous

From what I'm told. And this is from someone who works on a car and will be in Bahrain next week ..

RB clear front.
Then merc, McLaren and Ferrari similar.

Audi and Aston a dog of an engine each

Stroll quoting they are 4 seconds off the pace yesterday , can`t be right as that`s a ridiculous number time wise in F1 . Seems to back up the theory Aston/Honda is not going well though.

You've got to bare in mind that the teams/drivers saying Red Bull are fastest are all supplied Merc engines, and it's currently in Merc's best interest to play down their alleged 10-20hp advantage given the scrutiny over their compression ratio shenanigans and the fact Merc are the only team who have said they won't negotiate around this subject.

Merc still big favourite you'd imagine, it would be a little embarrassing for them if Red Bull in the first year with their own engine outdeveloped Merc on that front.

Huge crash in the Bathurst 12h this weekend, terrible race control as well, driver crawled from his car onto a partially live track and lay down, albeit under yellow... should have been a red flag straight away and they apparantly weren't initially waving yellows for the stalled cars (apart from at a point in the track where its too late to do anything about it)

Aftermath

From a comment I read it was only that marshal on that corner that was waving double yellows, which is crazy. If it does turn out that the earlier marshal posts were also waving yellows, than that driver who smashed into the stranded car should have a two year ban at least.
