It may come down to who has the most bottle. If Max is aggressive and the short run down benefits Lando, I wouldn't be surprised by a coming together.

This would benefit Max more than it would Norris, too.

If he's already having to look after his tyres, which appears to be the case, he's going to have to rely on the undercut later on, or someone crashing out.
