Norris is showing up Ricciardo big time this Season. How can you have one car on the front row and the other down in 13th? He’s taking an embarrassingly long time to get used to that McLaren.

Love to see it.

For me, one of the most overrated drivers on the grid for several years.

What a miscalculation from him this has been. Bet he thought it was going to be a piece of cake.

Surprised about Ricciardo not utilising the performance whereas Norris seems to be have some serious qualifying pace.
Also noticed that year's Mclaren is tremendously quick on the straights but don't quite have the race pace of Mercedes and Red Bull. D Ricciardo aside they are definitely on the up imo.

All Mercedes bigwigs at the race this weekend.

I'd expect Russell to be confirmed at Silverstone (or sooner).
I was speaking to my old man about this last night. He thinks Russell as number two, or at least the driver he is right now, would come with some concerns.

He's clearly got pace when qualifying, but he is far from proven on a Sunday; he can be very driven and hot-headed. Will he be the number two they need?

That being said, Bottas isn't really offering Hamilton and the team much at the moment in terms of support, yet Russell could potentially be a hot-potato.

Verstappen looks like he is taking firm control of this championship.

That magic button mistake in Baku is beginning to look very expensive now.

also the issue of what it would do to him to be dominated by Hamilton for 2 years. it's destroyed Bottas

Russell will have one year to get up to speed and then a 2nd year before Mercedes decide if they can back him as the long term #1 driver or they bring in a proven #1 alongside him to replace Lewis, maybe try stealing LeClerc if he is starting to get disillusioned at Ferrari.

Personally I have no doubt that GR is a very high calibre talent fully capable of winning races and championships in tje right car and team.

The people who make these decisions aren't shooting in the dark, F1 is so data driven nowaways that they know very well how good each driver
