Has to be said that Red Bull have risen to the challenge magnificently this season.

Honda's power unit is not only best in the field, but has also been bulletproof so far
They've understood the problems they had on the 2020 car and eliminated them in their 2021 evolution
Operationally they're superb, still banging in those crucial 2 second pit stops, and their driver pairing is definitely now the strongest on the grid

The future of F1 is going to be more balanced and competitive than ever before, throw in the sports willingness to experiment with race formats and the records could end up being somewhat irrelevant if we eventually move to a two race format each weekend which seems inevitable imo.

Hilarious thing would be if Verstappen does win the WDC this year before the big rules changes, and then we move into a new era where someone else dominates... actually similar to what happened to Hamilton after 2008.

Haven't finished the race quite yet, but assuming it stays as it is, great jobs by LeClerc, Norris and Russell. Norris closer to Perez than Bottas is to Lewis, and Russell running in 8th keeping ppl behind him on slower tyres until the issues when he pitted. Really thought he might finally get a point for Williams today.

Hamilton's going to be ~30 points behind after next weekend I feel....

Seems a bit overkill that they are holding 2 full GP weekends at the RB Ring with all of the free practice sessions.

If they were going to trial the sprint race format, surely would have been better to do it in one of the races here.

I think with COVID restrictions around the world and the uncertainty it brings they saw an easy and reliable option of two back to back races.

I totally agree with perhaps trying the sprint session, but it's nothing more than a calendar filler that was nigh on dead cert to go ahead.

He's a very good qualifying driver when you consider the cars he's had; still not proven on race days, but he's a good driver.
