So serious question for my fellow F1 followers - do you think Hamilton or Verstappen is the faster driver at this point in their respective careers?

Verstappen over 1 lap. Hamilton over a race.

Reasoning: F1 drivers typically lose some of their raw pace as they get into their late 30s and Hamilton doesn't dominate team mates in qualifying as much as he used to. Don't really need to explain why I think Hamilton is better over a race, more experience, cooler head etc

I tend to agree. I think if you put them as team mates with perfectly equal backing, Verstappen probably wins qualifying 60-70% of the time. Hamilton would be marginally faster in maybe 80% or more of the races but wins are split almost 50/50 if Verstappen starts ahead in most races, so in a championship fight it would be very very close. I think the difference would then come down to who makes fewest mistakes and is best at damage limitation on their bad days.

Hamilton's qualifying performances are consummate with his all round ability but I think he does his best work on Sundays.

Every time I see the Mission Winnow ads on Ferrari I shake my head in disbelief.

Tobacco advertising done via stealth and nobody does anything about it. May as well just have Marlboro back on the cars.

Hopefully first few corners are good as that's the only bit of excitement were likely to get unless it rains at some point

SC possibly brings Bottas back into the strategy mix, but still gonna be difficult to engineer a pass

Wasn't a fan of that chop at the start by Verstappen, everyone does it though including Hamilton who did it all the time to Rosberg ... it actively kills side by side racing and plays a large role in few battles lasting beyond 1 corner.

Not sure DRS is going to be much use unless he gets to within .600 coming out of the final chicane. Pace difference on the straights looks to be a lot less than it was in Portimao

Awful race this, awful track.

Current Top 3 are the three best drivers on the grid imo. Leclerc superb here, Bottas may get past eventually but he has an 8 second gap to 5th.

Only hope for something happening is Mercedes generally better on medium tyres than RB.

F1 needs to get a grip on the sport needing to be a spectacle, which means overtaking. Too many tracks like this.
